The Morley Noranda Rec Club is currently updating its database with member information and has recently emailed all members to ask them to complete a new Membership form (minus any nomination information and payment details).
If you didn't receive a form, please grab one from the Bowls Office, complete and leave it in the tray provided. Thank you.
COACHING SESSIONS - Wednesday Afternoons

Pennant Bowls – a message from the Treasurer
Pennant competitions are now in full swing.
This means that all players start paying match fees for every game, both home and away.
For Tuesday ladies that is $5 each; Friday night ladies $6 each, Thursday men $7 each, and Saturday ladies and men $8 each (including $1 for the jackpot).
I make up plastic money bags for each division and team, and these are put in the pigeon holes underneath both the ladies and men’s team boards, with the scorecards.
Each team is responsible for collecting the fees from the four players on your rink (for the men, the seconds do this) and then put the sealed money bag into the locked green fees box.
Bearing in mind that we have quite a few new players, if they happen to be playing second then we ask other members of that rink to ‘show them the ropes’.
It’s a big help to me if everyone does the right thing
And….we will have drink tickets for the team with the biggest winning margin in each division plus individually wrapped sandwiches for Thursday and Saturday players.
Name Badges and Jackets
All new bowlers should have a Morley name badge. These are made to order. Please put your name on the list on the middle notice board in the bowls room. Cost is $10. You can also order club jackets by putting your name and size on the orders list.
Uniform requirements are available from Rhonda 0404 861 109 or Murray Reynish 0410 714 151 or Ross Dunstan.
There are a number of men’s lockers available at a nominal fee of $10 per year, including a combination lock. Please contact Murray Reynish 0410 714 151 if you would like a locker.
The Ladies have a limited number of lockers and most of these are taken. If you would like a locker please contact Rhonda and she will see if some of the lockers are not being used.
Morley Gala Day - Re-scheduled to 17 February 2021
Due to quite a few teams withdrawing from our Gala Day on Wednesday 13 October due to wanting to play in their own pennant practice matches, we have had to reschedule it to next year - Wednesday 17 February 2021.

COVID 19 UPDATE
Bowls WA would like to provide a reminder to clubs regarding Covid-19 procedures.
Whilst WA has remained Covid free within the community for a lengthy period of time, the health department and government measures have allowed our sport to continue competition and operate in a safe way. It is important that our Bowls Community does not become complacent moving forward and our clubs continue to comply with the regulations.
Bowls WA encourages clubs to continue to practice the following measures:
Bowling Clubs should have a COVID Safety Plan as required by the West Australian Government.
Staff and Volunteers who operate within a club kitchen or bar have completed the required AHA Hospitality Hygiene Course
Clubs comply to their maximum capacity under the COVID Safety Plan. The 2M square rule remains in place.
Clubs encourage members to maintain social distance in all areas of their club. 1.5m rule.
Clubs encourage members to sanitise their hands as often as necessary. Clubs should ensure Hand sanitiser is available for their members.
Clubs encourage members to not attend their club if they are feeling sick and/or displaying Covid-19 like symptoms.
Clubs should sign in guests as required by Law but are currently not required to maintain a contact tracing register.
We thank all clubs, their members, staff & volunteers for being Covid Safe and complying with venue and state government rules.
